Solved At Last
It was not set at default 000 unlocking code. Mine was set at 999. To determine the code I had to try all the numbers 000-999. Then it was solved. If you are facing the same problem do not try to pull the cable for checking unlocking code. Because it unlocks by shifting the cable sidewise. You can in try which code bottom of the lock resetting button can be pressed properly. That is the unlocking code. It's going to take you minimum 1000 seconds or 17 minutes. Overall the product is small but good quality as it's pricey to its weight.

Best to check in store if it's set to 000
Bought in a hurry, brought home without checking in store whether it was set to 000 per the packaging and instructional video…. Someone has tampered with it so it’s not 000 and I can’t unlock it. Thankfully I live relatively close by a Decathlon so can return, but have wasted time… Hopefully Decathlon figures out a way to sell these in some tamper-proof way.
