Role Purpose

The Senior Sales Associate is responsible for serving customers on the shop floor and assisting the Department/Shop Manager in the effective running of operations in order to ensure the highest standards of customer service are achieved and maintained.

Key Accountabilities

Greet customers and assist them in their purchase decisions by offering expert advice in compliance with quality and customer service standards

Perform physical and electronic inventory of shop products on a regular basis as per Company guidelines in order to ensure accurate stock keeping, and inform the Manager of unavailable and nonperforming products

Report occurring operational issues or problems in a timely manner suggest solutions or escalate them as appropriate, ensuring and operational effectiveness at all times

Verify that the shop floor and shelves are kept clean and tidy at all times, and replenish on a continuous basis the shop shelves in order to guarantee availability of products at all times

Conduct on-the-job training and demonstration for new and existing employees within scope of work, and contribute to their professional development for increased performance and customer satisfaction

Communicate sales plans and targets to the Shop/Department team, assign routine and non-routine tasks to Sales Associates, monitor performance on an on-going basis, and suggest corrective actions to hierarchy when needed

Run daily Department meetings in order to ensure all Department activities, objectives and events are properly understood and communicated

Watch for and prevent security risks and thefts, and escalate occurring incidents to the hierarchy in a timely manner in order to avert loss

Prepare staff schedule to ensure that the Shop/Department manpower is effectively matched to the shop’s operational requirements in a cost effective manner

Specific for Multimedia: Up-sell and cross-sell products and services in order to reach hourly and daily sales targets

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge

2 years of experience in retail is a must

Proficiency in MS Office

Bachelor Degree is a plus

Good knowledge and understanding of store operating procedures

Good understanding of layout and visual merchandising techniques

Strong knowledge of products available across departments

2 years of experience in retail is required
