Role Purpose

The Training and Development Team Leader is responsible for providinga professional HR / Training service within general policies and professional standards , in orderto support the effective provision of high quality HR / Training services . He / she plans , coordinates, and directs training and staff

development programs for the organization .
Key Accountabilities

Initiate and manage the development and/or implementation of functionaland/or corporate projects in order to support the ongoing development oftraining initiatives for the retail division

Introduce and implement in-house training and development plansdesigned to achieve results aligned with company business goals, as well asexternal training and development initiatives aligned with personal developmentplans

Manage and conduct the assessment of training needs in coordinationwith line managers and provide feedback on training needs to the hierarchy

Formulate training policies, programs and schedules, based onknowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, businesssystems and/or changes in products, procedures or services

Carry out functional supervisory responsibilities that include planningand assigning tasks, seeing deadlines, monitoring results and quality,providing training and relaying team's request to hierarchy

Assist in recruiting, training, motivating and evaluating his / herteam to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base and that staffare optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contributionto the company.

Specific for Regional: Develop and implement leadership training programsfor the region in line with the yearly learning and development strategy andapproved budget

Specific for Regional: Provide guidance to country trainers in theimplementation of group/regional training initiatives, coach and follow up onmeeting set objectives and standards

Specific for Regional: Analyze various organizational HR performanceindicators such as employee turnover, performance appraisals results, etc. andsuggest a training action plan in coordination with country HR

Specific for Regional: Develop the regional learning and developmentstrategy in coordination with the hierarchy

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or BusinessAdministration; MBA in related field is a plus

4-5 years of experience in a similar filed with a minimum of 2 yearsin a supervisory role or consultancy experience

Fluency in English

Proficiency in MS Office
