Bought online. When I got the item, I saw that on the package it stated "11-36T".
I had to return it. Before ordering, I didn't read the online Technical Information which stated that it could only be used with an 11(min) to 36(max)T cassette/freewheel. Mine was an 11-40T.
Perhaps, it would be best if the online title for this product could read " 7 to 9 Speed Rear Derailleur 11-36T "

Wanted a Hook Type spare for My Bike. But got a different one while ordering on-line. Would be helpful if seller makes it clear so that customers who are doing a retro-fit can be benefitted. Had to exchange this through my cycle mechanic.
Couldn't use it and hence unsure about its utility.
