There many kinds of buckles of this type on the market, you will probably also need to replace 2 parts of the damaged buckle (male and female). We chose to list a buckle which can be fastened on both sides, to avoid having to do any sewing.,

Product was excellent, but my only gripe is that the postage cost as much as the item! So only good value if you can get to a store.

Had a thin strap with carabiner-style clasps for a pouch but wanted a thicker strap with buckles. Got the strap from somewhere else and these buckles from Decathlon worked a treat!

Buckle did the job as I was expecting, I lost the previous one but these gelled up so nicely.

Although at firsts I wasn't sure if it will fit my old Lowe Alpine backpack, once I wore the backpack it fits well and tightens perfectly as needed.
I am sure it will last long.

the gap between upper and lower section too big will not grip strap after tightening
