For kids and teens from 1.25 m (about age 8 or 9). Perfect for scootering to school or sports on your own.
The scooter for all of your urban journeys from age 8/9!
- Easy to fold without bending down thanks to its built-in stand parking position. - Double braking system (hand and foot).
For anyone aged 8/9 and over between 1.25 m and 1.75 m tall and weighing up to 100 kg. So plenty of people! The height of the M900 scooter can be adjusted and it's equipped for short rides around town. It helps kids become more autonomous as they travel to school or sports clubs on their own.
What makes the M900 scooter unique and innovative? It comes from the Decathlon design centre, conceived and designed by our technical teams. It's cool for children and reassuring for parents.
Its low folding system, operated by a single finger, is safer than a conventional system. You fold and unfold the scooter with no effort! Its high folding system, via a lever on the handlebars, gives our riders flow and allows them to stop and start again in 1 second, effortlessly. The system is protected by a patent.
The M900 scooter is equipped with front suspension and a large 200 mm wheel. This helps to absorb bumps in the road and gets you over obstacles more smoothly. The deck has a rubber surface so that your feet can grip it comfortably. The cockpit has been designed by our teams to be ergonomic for riders. The "built-in central stand" doesn't get in the way like a traditional stand would.
Is the M900 scooter suitable for town?Yes!
Getting around on a scooter is faster and more fun than walking. The M900 is kitted out for comfort: there's a front and a rear mudguard to protect you from splashes in wet weather, and a brake on the handlebar. Small reflective stickers make you more visible to other road users. The height-adjustment handle is ring-shaped so you can use it to lock your scooter up.
You should always wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards) when scootering. This scooter is equipped with a double braking system: a foot brake and a hand brake. Learn the basics of riding so that you can control your speed and brake in all conditions, in emergency situations and in all weather (always be careful and make sure you use your foot brake on wet terrain).
How should you maintain your scooter?Check the condition of your scooter before and after each use, as well as its ability to brake properly, and make sure there is no abnormal play, cracks, or sharp edges.
The wheels and bearings are parts that wear out. Remember to check them and change them if necessary.
You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store's Workshop.
All of our scooters have been lab tested. These tests check compliance with European standards for scooters and look for wear. For example, one of our tests involves a machine folding the scooter 10,000 times to check its folding system.
As well as lab tests we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.
The EN 14619 standard defines the safety requirements and test methods for roller sports equipment.
