I have had these for a while now. they are good because they are light and designed to go over your existing gloves. you do have to make sure to tuck the sleeves of your jacket on the outside of the mitten, otherwise water just runs down the sleeve and into the glove. even so, unfortunately the seam seal tape looks like some sort of cotton. in heavy rain they last about 30 minutes before water starts to seep in. I ended up with a bit of a pool inside and decided I was better with nothing than these. when i filled then with water at home the seams leak and the material seems to be seaping through as well. ok for wind and very light showers I guess. not suitable for Welsh or Scottish rain.

These work in light rain and drizzle for shorter periods of time. They are not suitable for extended use in average - let alone heavy - rain. They completely failed on a cycle tour in the summer and on a through hike in the lakes more recently. They were well looked-after too. Shame because I really wanted them to work.

This version has doubled in price over 3 years and has an unwanted pocket that adds weight and fills with snow. Please return to older design. As an overnight they work well but can be tight to pull over gloves.
