Grippy soles on natural footpaths

This sole's design is the result of long-term research carried out in our laboratories. We chose a specific rubber formula which optimises grip and resistance. Since not all needs are the same, we are always looking for the best solution to develop on loose, country trails such as unpaved forest paths.,

Designed for use on country trails

Our walking shoes are designed for use on off-road trails. Indeed, we choose the components of the sole and upper of our boots and test them to ensure that they are ideally suited to walking on loose trails (e.g. unpaved forest paths) or rocky trails (e.g. rocky coastal paths). Road use (tarmac) may lead to premature wear on your boots and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain walking.,

Brilliant in Dry Conditions
I needed a new pair of walking shoes, and after a quick browse on Decathlon, I purchased this pair. The comfort of the shoe is excellent, and the colour and look of the shoe is brilliant. However, what I didn't realise was how poor the grip would be in damp conditions. We have experienced a lot of rain recently, and wearing these shoes has made me feel a little nervous. It is my fault, as I didn't look into whether these had a non-slip grip. But it turns out they don't. I would highly recommend this pair of walking shoes if you're planning on walking during the summer months when the weather (in theory) is dry. If you are like me and enjoy walking in the autumn/winter, then I would look to purchase a different shoe with a non-slip grip.

Cheapest waterproof
It is the cheapest waterproof product line. Based on the price, waterproof it does the work, other than that, it is so so, cushioning not great, look is wrose. Initial grip on grass and mud is acceptable as it is new. let see how it go in this aut/winter. If you can afford better or need it in tough terrain (cannot change shoe in the mountain), please go for better choice.

Fit for purpose
If you wish to make a statement, these are not for you. I use them to walk with my dog across the New Forest, or up on the chalk. We don't see many people, so the lack of of a Big Brand Logo doesn't matter. However, for me the price was the real draw. Maybe would have enjoyed a smidgen more width, but no problem after 5 or 6 miles.

I just bought the blue colour version of this shoe on clearance at The Centrepoint Decathlon for $29.90. What a steal,i thought. But when i tested it out at home, i found its grip becomes non-existent when stepped on a wet patch of flooring. This is very dangerous and i think it's a product defect since i also tested my nh100 hiking shoes on those wet patches too and the nh100 (i have two pairs) held on much better!
