How to measure tyre wear

To measure the wear on your tyres and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread.Signs of wear include- tread starting to fray- the appearance of a series of micro cracks- low tread depth- the carcass becomes visible. In all these cases the tyre is worn and needs replacing.,

How to remove a tyre

To remove your tyre, first deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out.Once deflated, use a tyre lever to remove the tyre from the rim.,

How to fit a tyre

To put the tyre back on, place one side of the tyre into the bottom of the rim. Next, inflate your inner tube to approximately 30% before putting it into the tyre (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube). Then, place the other side of the tyre into the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve. Before inflating the inner tube all

Ok a great bargin rope!
So, this is an out the box review, I intent to update after a few months of use. When I bought this rope I was looking for reviews so I hope to provide the review I was looking for. I bought both this and the blue version. Out do the box both are slightly tougher handling wise compared to bigger name brands, however after being uncoiled and coiled a few times they got softer. I assume after proper use and a bit of a bartering they will soften up, much like my other gym rope from Simond. Simond ropes, in my experience have always had slightly tougher cores however this may hand itself to durability. The issue of stickiness isnt overly noticeable and didnt seem to affect atc belay devices. My hands only felt slightly sticky after an hour of handling, no more sticky than an a average day on the rock. Overall, these ropes, so far seem super bomber considering the price aswell! Almost 2 for the price of 1 bigger name brand. Really please and will update after further use!

Good all round
I have had this rope for a while now. I use it only when there is a chance of sending a route because it is so light. It is not a rope for working a route. I have a feeling that this rope will last ages if it is kept away from dust and sharp rock. There's only one negative aspect that it does not come in a 80m length.

Good impression so far
Very bright pink. Expected to be arrested by the colour police in Langdale! Seriously though, used alongside a half rope. Handled well straight away - no kinking, runs well through belay plate. Dry coating leaves a slightly sticky feeling on my fingers (hence 4 stars), but I expect that to disappear after a few uses. This being a triple rated rope I find it superb value for money. The rope seems to be every bit as good as any other brand. I am looking for ward to using it as a single, and enjoying the weight saving. I do recommend the edge dry rope if you are looking for great value. Or you could spend the extra fifty or sixty pounds and go with a better known brand. I suspect there are more brands than there are rope factories - if you get my drift. Once the label has fallen off the end its gonna be hard to tell the difference. It's your cash!
