I competed in rhythmic gymnastics for many years a while back. I miss the sport and wanted to find a cheap rope that I could play with outdoors and wouldn't be afraid to ruin. Overall, this rope is a great bang for your buck and is a good substitute for the real thing. A couple differences between my competition ropes and this one: 1. The Decathlon rope has a looser weave than competitive ropes so it's floppier and slightly more challenging to manipulate. 2. I'm seeing some mild fraying along the length of the rope after using it twice on grass. At this price point though, I can't complain much. It's a pretty great rope to play around with.
