Bought the bottle to use with the water filter which I have reviewed separately. The bottle feels quite sturdy. There is a very faint plastic taste to the water if it's left inside the bottle for long. It's actually better than many rivals so I don't find it too much of an issue. The biggest problems to me are the carry strap and the bottle closure. It's very easy to get the outside of the bottle wet especially if you're using it with the filter and need to retrieve water from natural sources. The strap will be wet and it takes quite a while to dry, and it also dampens other things it is in contact with. The closure system of the clasp and mouthpiece is neither convenient nor secure. It can pop open and leak if placed in a bag. However, when you need to filter water, it's very fiddly to remove the outer clasp and then open the bite valve before squeezing the water out. The outer clasp is also connected via a piece of fabric which will almost always get wet as per the carry strap. If you're using the filter then you have no choice but to get these soft bottles. If you're not using the filter then I would probably recommend a rival product even if they cost more. Or just get Decathlon's own $3 tritan bottles which are really fantastic.

Was not expecting too much as there have been not so good such products in the market over the years and the good ones are like sky high pricing. This has normalised the access for general folk like me. Awesome, recycle and reuse.
