Men Warm Water-Repellent Snow Hiking Trousers - Sh500 Mountain, Black

Used these trousers for first time today in cold windy conditions in steady rain in the Lake District. They are very comfortable and stretch nicely and are warm. Some nice features like hook to attach bottom of trousers to boot laces However they are NOT water repellent. I had them on in steady rain and in an hour was soaked to the skin. I think they are suited to dry cold to keep warm and also may deal with dry snow as it brushes off and possibly a quick shower. Thankfully I had a pair of full waterproof over trousers in my rucksack which saved the day otherwise I would have been in big trouble. The fact that they are described as water repellent not waterproof is the clue and really decathlon should be more honest about their performance as unaware walkers could come unstuck. So great trousers generally but not as described.

To be honest they're very large. They kept the water fine though and they ended up helping in a wet day, but I prefer another pair I bought which are warmer inside
