Highlights
Footwear waterproofing test.
Laboratory- and field- tested, these boots have a Waterproof to ensure optimal waterproofing and breathability. To start, they are immersed in water with pressurised air inside to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the boot. Next, the boots are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking, half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
3 levels of waterproofing.
During the waterproofness test, we test 3 levels of waterproofness2,000 flexes (approx. 4 km walk)4,000 flexes (approx. 8 km walk)8,000 flexes (approx. 16 km walk). Of course, after this test or in use, the shoe regains its original waterproofing once dry.
Boot waterproofing levels.
The TREK 100 boot has been tested and validated for 8,000 flexes, equivalent to a 16 km walk, in water reaching the mid-upper.
