This is our second pair as he�s outgrown the previous ones. Model has changed since last year: shoes used to close with a scratch but that�s only reserved to the baby version now. It means that the opening is quite narrow (to make sure they stay on in the water!). It was just fine for our kid but I totally get all the reviews saying their child couldn�t put them on.
Was also quite surprised to see they have no insole as previous version (and current baby version) did have them. For these reasons, new version seems of lower quality.
They�re great for walking in rivers and pebbly beach though.

Great value, well made, however the foot opening to the shoe is very small. Once my daughter was able to push her foot inside the shoe was a good fit, but I imagine trying to put the shoe on or off whilst wet will make it even more trickier.
