The bike is excellent. I would give it 5 out of 5. It is a good bike for beginners. After several rides, the shifting is smooth, the bike feels sturdy, and has an excellent and relaxed geometry. It is light and fits my trunk well. We will see how it wears with time. I'm 5 foot 11 in (180 cm), with an inseam of 32 in (82 cm) and a sleeve of 24 in (61 cm), and I went with an M size. It seems like the right size, but I am still finding my comfortable position and thinking about getting a 70mm stem to try and replace the default 90mm one. I would rate the assembly 3 out of 5. When you order online, remember that you receive an uncalibrated and sometimes not correctly assembled bike. Some of the things that I uncovered: - The bottom Bracket Cable Guide (a blue plastic thing attached to a frame) is cracked. Probably someone. Probably someone screwed it too hard. I requested a replacement. - The front brake cable went through the fork and was rubbing the front wheel. I had to reattach the brakes (the alternative is to reassemble the fork). - You will need to adjust the rear and front derailleur before riding. The bike does not adjust at all. - The rear brakes should be recalibrated. They didn't work because the cable was too loose. Other than that, I enjoyed doing all that stuff myself, but someone who is not an experienced cycler or does not have any tools and wants to ride has to spend time or money for a proper assembly.

I doubt you can find a bike of this quality for this price anywhere else. I ride a couple of times a week for 30ish km per ride and this bike works well for me. I had an older Velo Sport which was due for replacing, but the cost to get an equivalent quality bike was too high...until this bike went on sale for $650. Very happy with my purchase. Fortunately the staff at the Ottawa store did a good job of building the bike and I had a summer of trouble free riding.

Rides comfortable. Good for beginners who wants to get into the sport.

Some bolts were not torqued to spec. Shifter cable was not placed in the shifter guide under the BB shell. Cannot shift to big ring due to wrong placement of shifter cable on cable bolt. The bike is good! But I don�t think the bikes are really inspected before releasing to customer.
